Flexible Impeller Pumps With Standard Motor:
The RF pump is a flexible-impeller pump. Due to the design, these pumps are reversible and self-priming and can suction from a maximum height of 16 feet. This type of pump is designed to pump products of both low and high viscosity, as well as materials containing particles or gases.
The RF pump is available with two drive options: standard motor and gear motor types. The standard motor type is intended to only be used when fluid is to be transferred in one direction. Maximum suction lift of 16' can also be achieved dependent on the pump size.
The main applications are transfer of dairy products, edible oils, wine, wine must, concentrates and beverages in general. They can also be used with viscous food products such as jam and marmalade, custard as well as cosmetic products such as soap, gel, toothpaste and creams. This pump is used in dying, textile, and chemical industries.
It is widely used for transferring wine from one collecting tank to another and also for transferring must.
Due to the eccentric shape of the pump housing, a vacuum is created in the suction side that enlarges the volume between the blades and this causes the product suction.
The rotor is spinning and the product is carried from the suction side to that of delivery. Due to the eccentric shape of the pump housing, in the discharge side the blades bend, reducing the volume between them and causing the discharge of the product.
