Swagelok tube fittings deliver a leak-tight, gas-tight seal in an easy-to- install, disassemble and reassemble form. The robust tube grip with patented, two-ferrule technology is resistant to vibration fatigue and withstands high pressures and temperature extremes.
The two ferrules separate sealing and tube gripping functions; each ferrule is optimized for its function. The front ferrule creates a seal against the fitting body and on the tubing outside diameter. As the nut is turned, the back ferrule axially advances the front ferrule and radially applies an effective tube grip
This design is standard on all 1/4 to 1/2 in. and 6 to 12 mm Swagelok stainless steel tube fittings to help installers make more consistent, leak-tight tube connections. In these sizes, a patented case hardening process and patented recessed and contoured geometry provide unique engineering to the Swagelok back ferrule. The hinging-colleting back ferrule design expands on the already robust performance of the traditional ferrule design.

The simple two-piece design of the Swagelok patented medium-pressure tube fittings and adapters consists of a female fitting body and preassembled cartridge containing the male nut and color-coded front and back ferrules on a disposable plastic arbor. The preassembled cartridge ensures installers correct ferrule orientation, visual confirmation of ferrule presence, and easy and proper installation into the female body. The Swagelok medium-pressure tube fitting offers a leak-tight gas seal and vibration resistance in applications up to 20 000 psig (1378 bar).

Cone and thread (C&T) connections provide dependable medium- and high-pressure performance. Cone & thread fittings can be manufactured to meet NACE MR0175/ISO 15156. Antivibration connection components are also available.
