About Stainless Motors, Inc.
Stainless Motors, Inc. was created to fill the need for stainless steel, washdown tolerant power transmission equipment in the processing industry.   In 1988, we developed the first stainless washdown electric motors offered on the market.  Stainless gear reducers, gear motors and flexible couplings were added soon afterward to satisfy the industry’s growing demand for our stainless products.
Our sales office and manufacturing facility are located in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.  All of our products are engineered, manufactured and supported in the USA.   We offer over 1000 standard models of electric motors, gear reducers, and flexible couplings.  Our engineers can also provide design assistance, customized solutions and specialized components.
Customer satisfaction is our goal.  We work with our end user and OEM customers to find the optimum solutions for their needs.  Flexibility and the ability to manufacture “one off” products make us the right choice for special projects.   No job is too demanding for us – our engineering ability is limited only by the laws of physics.
Our standard washdown motors meet NEMA MG1, part 31 for inverter performance and are recognized by UL under component file #E135744 for the US and Canada.  Hazardous location (XP) motors are UL approved under file #E321578.  Our motors are IP66 rated and have a 1.15 service factor with a turndown ratio of 4:1 constant torque and 10:1 variable torque.
